Here I am to join the world of amateur interior decorators. I am a "yuppie" who enjoys interior design, decorating, home improvement, etc., etc., etc. very much as a side hobby. I am lucky enough to enjoy a social life that provides near-constant enrichment, support and inspiration to my healthy addiction to design and decor. My friends and family (most of them) know that I take a serious and delighted interest in all things interior design (or "environmental design" or "interior architecture" as some call it). I am very lucky and blessed to have so many people who are so supportive of this interest and it is in thanks to many of their encouragement that I am beginning this blog.
In the interest of full disclosure, I do not have any formal degree/education in interior design. I do, however, bring to the table a lot of experience in trial-by-fire projects and self-taught principles. Being a perfectionist, it is my intention that my work, thoughts and opinions on all things interior design strive to live up to professional standards. I am not quite there yet, but that definitely is a work in progress.
I beg your patience as I get things up in running and I certainly am interested in hearing ideas and suggestions for further advancement of this new endeavor!
