One degree down, one to go. Yes, that is a large flower on my head. |
Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful,
or believe to be beautiful. -William Morris

This is The MKDaly Show. My name is MK, a nickname that I once despised but now not so much.
By day I am studying for my Master's degree. That degree is not in design but I'd like to think that I have mad design skillz anyway. You can be the judge, but please be kind.
Interior design and home improvement are two of my favorite hobbies. Like 93.7% of other home design blogs, this is a place to document the design, decor, and home improvement projects that I undertake around my house. Blogging is a fantastic way to share this bit of my life with my loved ones with whom I share this passion (and with you, too!). Now that I am in graduate school (i.e. no salary to burn through on projects, knick-knacks, and otra crapola I probably don't need), you will find me talking about other things, like my Catholic faith, my friends and family, or whatever else is on my mind.
The William Morris quotation above sums up my approach to design and decor. There are so many beautiful things in the world that I would love to have in my home. Yet, there also are limits to how much I can fit (and afford) to have. By remembering to purchase or make those things that I truly need, I find so much joy and fun making a beautiful home for myself (and my roommates)!

You can find me on Instagram and Pinterest...I haven't ventured onto Twitter yet. But I will let you know if I do!
If you need to reach me, or if ever you wish to receive my assistance/input on a project, please shoot me an email mkdesigndecor@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!
